Decks and porches can everything from simple and functional to a major element of the both the appearance and function of your home.    All deck and porch designs should consider the footprint of both the home and landscape and integrate seamlessly.   Today we have so many options in deck design and function that its vitally important to consider family lifestyle as well as our Mid-Michigan weather.

II. Decking

KJP Sales recommends and are certified installers of TIMBER TECH-AZEK, which is low maintenance, last for years to come, and offers a long-term warranty.  While some limited materials are available at Home Depot, Lowes and others, KJP Sales offers full lines of decking with about 2 dozen color and style options available. These composite and PVC cellular specialty products:

IV. Lighting

Deck lighting is an important factor to consider when designing your deck.  Often we think of a standard porch light, but lighting (with or without dimmer) can be built into the railings, flooring, and steps on a deck increasing its safety, ambiance, and overall aesthetic.
